Review of The Shape of Water (2017) by Kara L — 05 Feb 2018
While visually beautiful and unique. perhaps my own excitement for this film made it fall a bit flat. I expected a nuanced love story, and that relationship was the least developed of all. I wish they had spent more time on the love story, and less on developing the other supporting characters.
Elisa's relationship with her neighbor, Giles, played by Richard Jenkins, was far more compelling than the one with her creature.
