Not very good. Cliche story, boring, one-dimensional characters, cartoonish acting. Also, aren't we past the whole steam-punk, Bioshock aesthetic yet? Here is every Guillermo Del Toro movie that gets acclaim: Female protagonist faces typical evil in a fantasy world punctuated by moments of gore.
Also, the attempts at humor are lame.
