Review of The Shape of Things (2003) by Steven M — 25 Nov 2008
I thought this was a belter. I like "In The Company Of Men" a lot, and I suppose this shares the same theme of human cruelty. There was a nice conflict to ponder here in the character of Evelyn.
Undoubtedly, her actions are questionable, but her "art" makes a profound point in a way that shocks. The cliche that it's what's inside that counts has never been more trenchantly put.
Worthwhile.
