Review of The Shape of Things (2003) by Jeremy A — 22 Mar 2012
An incredible movie, with an incredible cast. This movie moves along in the guise of the generic romantic comedy, right to almost the very end. Then the whole film is turned on its end, becoming something else entirely.
Rachel Weisz is exquisitely horrible as she unapologetically reveals herself to be the self-centered, self-absorbed, monster (artist) that she is. You truly feel the pain that she has caused the other characters, like a punch in the gut.
Definitely worth seeing again (at least twice)...
