Review of The Shallows (2016) by Luke F — 29 Sep 2016
I was pleasantly surprised by this shark horror film as most are just awful. This film makes you feel for Blake Lively's character and gets you drawn in with the tension and the suspense. For most of the film they use the Jaws technique of not showing off the shark which worked really well.
Even when the shark appeared, the CGI was very good and only on a few occasions was it obvious to be fake. All in all a good horror film which will get a rewatch down the line.
