Review of The Shallows (2016) by Sjwilkin — 22 Sep 2016
Beautifully shot on a modest budget with 'one actor' in one location for the whole movie. It isn't quite Jaws but it certainly isn't Jaws 4 - it achieves a really good sense of isolation and immediate danger despite being only metres from safety.
The shark does enter 'monster' territory but the CGI does remarkably well in convincing you it could be a reality. It is a short, tense, action packed thriller which is worth anybodies time - all 87 minutes of it.
Also contains a seagull.
