Big Al's Movie Review:
The Shallows.
A medical student on a soul-searching surfing trip to a secluded beach finds herself locked in a life or death battle against a great white shark.
The Shallows takes advantage of modern day CGI and slick cinematography to present an entertaining shark flick but it still can't touch the bone chilling mark set by Jaws over forty years ago. If only The Shallows had been a little deeper.
Grade: C+.
