Review of The Shack (2017) by Dave W — 05 Mar 2017
This movie as many of you know, is about a man who has an encounter with God over all. It's a story about a man who goes on a camping trip with his kids, then tragedy strikes. His daughter ends up being abducted and murdered. From this point, he is never the same. He becomes distant from his family and lost in his grief. He then receives a letter in the mail from "papa" inviting him back out to the shack where his daughter was murdered. He accepts "papa's" invitation and heads out to the shack. He then encounters a real, much needed and deep closeness with a God in whom he is indifferent to based on his loss.
This movie is so fascinating and refreshing that upon leaving the theater I felt a deeper closeness with the entire trinity. I recommend everyone to go see this movie, go and receive all of what the Lord may have for you and your spirit. There is emotional and spiritual healing in this film. I will probably go and see this again and I'm excited about.
"A".
