Review of The Seven Year Itch (1955) by Simone R — 12 Jun 2007
A big, tall martini...
Marilyn Monroe was hilarious in this film. Her character was so dizzy, and delightful, I gained much respect for Monroe as an actor. Anyone who plays a part that well can't possibly be as vacant as the character. Richard's (Tom Ewell)daydreaming episodes were insane, although some of them went on longer than maybe they should have. The whole Rachmaninoff episode was great. Overall the film had a solid plot, the characters were funny and likable, and was generally lighthearted and entertaining.
