Review of The Seven-Ups (1973) by Mark R — 26 Oct 2007
Low-key cop movie directed by "The French Connection"/"Bullit" producer Philip D'Antoni. "The Seven-Ups" was his first and only movie as a director. It's a shame because it's a great little movie.
The dialogue is sparse, the cinematography is outstanding, the score is edgy and the violence is realistic and gritty. They just don't make movies like this anymore.
