Review of The Seven-Ups (1973) by Mike P — 11 Feb 2008
Being a huge fan of the 70's cop thrillers, I was hoping for a little more out of The Seven Ups. Its not bad but there really isnt a whole lot going on to keep you involved and on your toes. It definalty lacks the intensity of The French Connection films and Dirty Harry.
But its not a total waste. Its got a good gritty feel and It has an amazing 10 minute car chase thats pretty intense. I loved Roy Scheider and have always thought he was an underused actor. So this is a good film to see him be a totaly cool badass.
