As a kid, this was my intro to Roy Scheider (prior to Jaws)...who is emminently watchable, regardless of various plot holes & pacing.
But, as stated by previous Users of Good Taste - you've gotta wait for the Car Chase. The Best Ever, IMO, despite the more famous Bullitt references. Watch bad guy Richard Lynch blow Roy's hood off w/ shotgun - fun ensues.
The camera work alone is worth your time.
