Review of The Seven-Ups (1973) by Brad W — 27 Sep 2008
Roy Scheider leads a fantastic 1970s action picture! He is in charge of a special squad of undercover officers known as the "Seven-Ups". Legend has it that this was a project that was launched, following the success of 'The French Connection' and that Gene Hackman got afraid and decided to shoot the 'The French Connection 2' right after.
.. Good toughguy action and great car chases that rival the best of classic films! The budget did not look minimal and the production values were great too! I really enjoyed the extensive cast of villains and all the wiseguy mobsters too! A lost gem and underrated film from another time! Roy Scheider should have been included in a 1970s James Bond picture with Roger Moore.
