Review of The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988) by Al M — 27 Mar 2009
The Serpent and the Rainbow is an absolutely screwed up movie from Wes Craven that is a lot better than it deserves to be. Featuring an extended look into the world of Haiti and particularly the voodoo mysticism that surrounds it, the film is dark and dreary and quite scary at times.
With a foreboding atmosphere that prevails from the opening scenes, this is an excellent film that deserves a large audience. Watch it now.
