Review of The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988) by John T — 24 Aug 2008
I don't know if it would be fair for me to judge an horror movie since I'm not a fan of that genre. But this movie has its special characteristics and offers more than just a horror movie. The Haitian atmosphere was interesting and the main story is backed by the political turmoil of that country in the 80s.
This movie not very scary but it's nevertheless interesting. Another reason to see this movie is to see a good work of Wes Craven. I've always associated him with bad horror movies such as Scream. It turns out he did better movies.
