Review of The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988) by Nicole M — 09 Dec 2008
Ah, so good! So many creepy, gorgeously horrific scenes and concepts. Excellent parallels/message about politics/possession/control. Cautionary tale about the price of ultimate power, on an individual, group, governmental and societal level.
I'd really love to have the last ten minutes re-done, however. That nonsense really takes away from the film as a whole.
