A beautiful film. generally underrated and very recommendable, though no true masterpiece of horror - even if it has all the ingredients to be one. it lacks a bit of suspense and is too heavy on the effects side of things.
on the other hand i'm still searching for something that rivals this film in psychedelic atmosphere and exotic density. if you can't get enough of haitian vodoun read the book by wade davis.
