Review of The September Issue (2009) by Dan B — 25 Jan 2010
Starts out like an essay in vanity and vacuity, but becomes quite a touching portrait of a fairly fragile world of art, beauty and professionalism; and despite the obvious star attraction of Vogue editor Anna Wintour, the film finds its own hero in the indefatigable Creative Director Grace Coddington, whose passion and skill make the whole silly business seem somehow wonderful and worthwhile.
Recommended.
