Review of The Sentinel (2006) by Shakib H — 07 Dec 2007
This movie had a neat style to it, and there's no arguing that it was dramatic and fairly well done. I just would argue against making the plot hinge on an affair that the main character is having with the First Lady. No where in the movie is this set aside as being clearly wrong. Everyone is upset about it, but they only seem to care about how it will be 'bad for press,' rather than it being just plain bad. This is evidence of moral confusion and ungodly priorities. It's unfortunate.
Furthermore, though I do think that Eva Longoria is a fine looking lady, it's really a cheap thing for the filmmakers to be gawking with their camera. True, they didn't do it as extremely as they could have, but I think it is just the principle of whether they would do it or not that should be disagreed with. It's definitely a point against the movie.
