Review of The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising (2007) by Dennis L — 14 May 2008
A 12-year old American transplant in England finds out that he's part of an immortal group of people battling the forces of good and evil.
Cheesy, ridiculous and bland, it's bad enough that the movie is set in a dreary English setting, the film makers had to create silly dialogues and unimaginative narrative elements - ravens for bad guys, a couple of fat security guys, some snakes.
The movie would have been better if it was paced faster. Instead, the movie as slow going with lead character Will Stanton constantly whinning about how inadequate he is, he's too young for this, blah blah, blah blah.
Damn waste of film, money and most especially time.
