Review of The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising (2007) by Liam O — 17 May 2008

This was a movie that made many promises, but delivered on few, if any. First, there's the romance intrest. They don't deliver that. Then there's the implied promise that finding all the "signs" will be the hardest thing he's ever done.

Well, it was as easy as stumbling across them and then finally believing in himself. Overall, this movie was intended to be scary, and that's about all it suceeds in. I think they needed to age the main character, keep the romance intrest, make the finding of the signs in other places besides just around his home, and have at least a semblence of an actual struggle in the battles.
