Review of The Secrets We Keep (2020) by Mauro_Lanari — 09 Feb 2021
(Mauro Lanari).
Regardless of its similarities to any other film (which I haven't seen), if you watch this on its own it's a static chamber drama, devoid of inventiveness or tension and with an ethically questionable epilogue. Cruel, justicialist, revengeful, it's unable to take a clear position on the behavior of the perfect American husband, the real protagonist of the film, the main character in the midst of victim and perpetrator.
