Review of The Secrets We Keep (2020) by Darkbloodshed13 — 22 Sep 2020
The Secrets We Keep is a film directed Yuval Adler and is about a Maja, played by Noomi Rapace, who in a post WWII america runs into a man she believes committed an heinous crime against her during the war.
This film has a lot of potential, the set up and concept could have made for great film. Plus the acting was solid. Yet this film falls a little pit short of greatness. The film tries to build up reveals, yet accidentally shows the big reveal early.
Add that to the fact that the actual story of the film is pretty boring you have to wonder what made them decide play this film the way they did. They try to make us feel for all party's involved but fail to give them all equal screen time.
In conclusion this film isn't bad by any definition but it just could have been so much better.
