Review of The Secret World of Arrietty (2010) by Paldmale — 04 Jan 2020

This movie had a lot of potential but left me feeling highly let down. The visuals are exactly what you’d expect from Studio Ghibli, but the story was a major let down. I highly doubt that I will have any desire to rewatch this movie when there are so many stronger options including Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, and Princess Mononoke, as well as Ponyo which does not seem to receive the appreciation that it deserves for some reason.
