Review of The Secret of Kells (2009) by Andy B — 21 Sep 2010
The style reminded me a lot of Genndy Tartakovsky's style of animation from the non cgi version of Star Wars Clone Wars and Samurai Jack. Overall the I thought it was pretty good with the mix of a coming of age tale and mythology.
Granted, I watched this because it got the buzz it's got from their Oscar nom (and as I've seen all the noms, it's just as good as all the other Best Animated Film Oscar noms in my opinion), but I'm glad I did as I really enjoyed this.
