Review of The Secret of Kells (2009) by Mikael K — 21 Sep 2010
Dazzeling artistic technique more than makes up for the short-commings of the plot and the characters. But that isn't what really matters. The film shows the creation of itsself: The process of finding creativity and creating a work of art is depicted, and the film itsself is the work of art.
It's postmodern meta-fiction. Definitely worth seeing.
