This is basically Harold and the Purple Crayon with about 1/4 the imagination and whimsy of childhood. The limited animation didn't help. I cannot believe this was nominated for the Best Animated Feature Oscar.
I was bored by the nearly plotless story and lulled to sleep by the old-fashioned, emotionless animation.
