Review of The Secret Life of Words (2005) by Mutsuko Y — 20 Sep 2007
A rare movie that manages to convey the cruelty and violence underlying human existence, without the use of any cruel or violent footage.
Some may find the pace and tone of the movie too placid, but it was by far the best movie I've watched this year.
Sarah Polley should've been nominated for Oscars.
