Review of The Secret Life of Words (2005) by Wes S — 03 Apr 2012
This was a very good, yet sad, character driven indie drama about a woman who, after surviving a brutally horrific trauma in Yugoslavia, is just trying to cope with the physical and mental scars as a refugee in Ireland.
That is until she volunteers to put her nursing skills to use by helping a burn victim on an oil rig. It's a very sad story about a war affected woman who cautiously befriends her patient and slowly starts taking steps towards healing.
