The Secret Life of Pets does guarantee a good and fun time for kids but becomes ultimately a forgettable movie that tries it's hardest to be original but sadly steals aspects from many other popular animation movies.

Despite those flaws, The Secret Life of Pets has great animations and beautiful colors. It is by no means a bad movie, it's a great deal of fun to watch but not something you'd expect after the hype built around it.
