Review of The Secret Life of Bees (2008) by Heshani U — 07 Sep 2009
Sweet movie, obviously no comparison to the powerfulness of the book. The cast was great, however the portrayal of early-60's southern US was a little far fetched. There were glimpses of the racism, but overall the tone it was very peaceful.
I do not recall the book being so idyllic.
