Review of The Secret Life of Bees (2008) by Hannah P — 01 Jun 2009
This is a very moving drama, however the book is better. It's a brillent cast and has an emotional story. Deffiently a drama story and it's suitable for all 14+ people mainly women.
It's about a girl who is a white Americian girl who grows up without a mother and an angrey father. Because of her mother she ends up in an all black Americian home where they make honey and worship a black Mary.
It's at the time of the Cival rights act still coming into progressso times are hard for the black people in the world. White people don't really except them, except for a young girl named Lilly. Who has grown up with a nanny who is black and has become used to them.
She has bee's that enter her world that make her become entranced so she does not fear the world of bee's very up close. This is a good watch but perhaps for the light hearted.
