Review of The Searchers (1956) by Bradley R — 19 Sep 2008
I am not a big fan of Westerns, but this is a great movie all to itself. Reading articles regarding this film, I've learned how many future movies it has influenced; from Taxi Driver to Star Wars. The film has become so popular in the last 10 years it went from being ranked in the high 70s or 80s on AFI's original list to number 12 on the 10th Anniversary list.
This is truly a great film.
