Review of The Searchers (1956) by Jim M — 28 Oct 2008
Undoubtly the greatest and most complex western to have ever been made, John Ford tackles racism, genocide, miscegination, revenge and redemption. John Wayne, undisputed king of the westerns and often overlooked, a great actor shows why in his portrayle of Ethan Edwards.
One of the most complecatied and multi-faceted protagonists to ever appear on film. Must see for any fan of cinema.
