This movie was actually sent up into space in a time capsule along with other movies I am told in a space probe in hopes that someday it might be found by other humans or what ever is out there. Also, it was a basically the same story line for the first Star Wars film by lucas and spielberg.
lucas said this film "the searchers", was a launching point of his star wars film, but in a futuristic sci-fy-way, without destorying the integrity of John Ford's as well as John Wayne's greatist achievements, many have said, and I feel the same.
