Review of The Searchers (1956) by Jacob G — 18 Jul 2012
Some cheesy acting, meandering plots, and awkward twists make this less enjoyable than I expected. As a one-man John Wayne show it isn't too shabby, but Wayne is at his best when he's got someone to play off of.
.. and Jeffrey Hunter's role varies between either being minimal or just flat-out too boring to count, even as the second-most visible guy in the movie.
