Review of The Searchers (1956) by Dustin D — 13 May 2014
This film has John Ford's typically perfect photography and a memorable performance by John Wayne playing an anti-hero who is so unapologetically racist you aren't sure whether to root for him.
It is fairly complicated for its time and genre, but the comic relief segments go on too long, and I still don't care much for John Wayne.
