Review of The Science of Sleep (2006) by Joe B — 01 Feb 2009
Ahh, what an amazing piece of art this is!
A bit romantic for people who don't like that kind of stuff, but it keeps romance and artistic value at a good level, and is NOT anything close to being a chick flick by any means.
The art/visuals in this film was incredible. Just the way everything was played out. Reminded me of something that Tim Burton would do almost, without the gothic representation of course.
Michel Grondy once again makes an artsy film which is on par with his earlier effort eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.
The fact that it was in three different langauges (english, french, and spanish was great too).
Although, the film is not very long, it is still a great film, which proves that Grondy is one of the best directors around today.
If your looking for something different and artistic that will keep you entertained, I most definetely reccomend this film.
If you are looking for a corny love story... don't even look at the box.
