Review of The Science of Sleep (2006) by Matthew K — 02 Feb 2013
This was an enjoyable, imaginative, funny, original, and at parts rather deep film, which I would find perfect in most cases. I just really, REALLY wish that I could relate to the characters more... and I don't mean the lead roles, just ANY part in this film that would give me a perspective to view from would be helpful.
But its not the case, and whether that is for better or for worse, this film definitely stands out as a case of genuine intent to make something artful, during a film period when many gems like this are easily ignored and forgotten.
This film by no means deserves that fate. 4/5.
