Review of The Science of Sleep (2006) by Arturo V — 18 Jul 2010
I can't put my finger totally on what I didn't like about this movie. There were definitely some really good elements that were original, innovative and awesome. But the storyline actually kind of confused me which is rare.
Like, the main character was just oddly detached from reality in a way that was good occasionally but not most of the time. And the relationship didn't make much sense to me. I thought that in the end there was a chance that they were children all along and it was all just a weird outlook on their childhood, that's how childish their relationship was.
But all of the dream sequences were so amazing. It was worth watching but I didn't... like it. lol. You can have all the awesome elements you want but the story was what is important in a film and if you don't have a good story then you've lost the whole thing.
