Review of The School of Rock (2003) by Matt B — 10 Jun 2015
In School of Rock, you have to forget the implausibility of the plot. I mean, could a man really get away with pretending to be a teacher and then making his classroom rock out 5 days a week? Wouldn't the rest of the school hear them?
Just ignore that. School of Rock is a charming, funny, delightfully entertaining comedy with a winning performance from Jack Black (as well as Joan Cusack, who's equally hilarious). You also need to ignore the PG-13 rating. I honestly don't know what the MPAA was thinking. I think this is a lovely movie for the family.
