Review of The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006) by Rebecca — 07 Dec 2008
I'm still questioning why they made a second, but Disney managed to pop out another, even worse Santa Clause movie. The plot becomes painfully obvious within the first twenty minutes, for the next hour you're stuck wondering how much fluff they'll shove between then and the end.
The only interesting part is when they actually put a little twist and what you thought would happen near the end happens sooner and Scott (Tim Allen) actually manages to pull himself out of it. On top of having a boring plot, there was an excessive amount of special effects that were very low budget and were completely unnecessary 80% of the time.
Even to go on, the acting was mediocre from near the entire cast, so much so that the villain Jack Front (Martin Short) starts to piss you off, not just the character, that would be good acting - but Martin Short himself, I just wanted to punch him he became so annoying and predictable.
This movie is bad, but not in a sense it's boring or impossible to watch all the way through, from the point everything in and surrounding is just poorly done.
