Review of The Sandlot 2 (2005) by Danny D — 15 Jul 2010
Ok here is the thing. Before I watched this, I was thinking that it could get no where near as good as the first one; I was right. The new cast of children are pretty fun though. They all have some pretty cool personalities.
Well almost all of them. I really liked the performance of Brett Kelly. He was basically replacing the comedy of Patrick Renna from the first one. He wasn't as good as Renna, but he was entertaining to watch.
The only kid I didn't like was Max Llyod-Jones. His acting was off par and also he had this look on his face that was really bothering me. The one thing that really didn't make this film the best was the repeat of scenes from the first one.
They had a lot of repeat lines and some of the scenes were changed a little, but still had the same type of outcome from the first one. That is a sign of poor writing. That means you cannot think of anything original and just use the first movie to get ideas.
From. So if the writing was better, I would of loved this film a lot more.
