Review of The Sandlot (1993) by Brett D — 12 Oct 2011
It's neither genius nor artistic. The Sandlot is a dopey, childish 90s movie. And that is what gives it so much character. It is sincere and genuine with a cute boy-ish mind that makes the old envy the young and yearn for that life of fantasies and exageration.
Whilst a movie such as this will never receive professional attention, it encapsulates the soul and character of every child within us. The sandlot is a part of the american culture and will always be seen as an educational tool.
