Review of The Sand Pebbles (1966) by Alexander C — 03 Feb 2008
One of McQueen's worst movies, it sure looked like he was uncomfortable performing Jake Holden, although at times he stepped up with a couple of memorable lines (one was talking to the engine)... That part was not right for McQueen at all; it was only one of the few movies where I did not see McQueen, but an actor struggling to make sense of making the movie.
