The Salvation is just another western. That's it. It looks good, it's well acted, it has all the clichés in the book,, it doesn't risk anything and looses a lot of points because of that. Maybe in the 80s this could've had some impact but now? We're already used to this gritty take on the genre far too often.
A good effort since everything is polished enough but needs that extra bonus beat.
