An odd mix of noir, suspence, gritty crime drama, and at least one scene of screwball hilarity. its an odd movie to take by shear liking of its category's, but the story solid, the acting from Val Kilmer, is decent and the hosts complete list wacko charachters, smart writing, and typically indie-centric camera work.
probablly one of Kilmers best lead role flick (his best supporting would probablly be Heat).
