Review of The Salton Sea (2002) by William P — 03 Nov 2008
One of the best most extravagent movies I have seen in a long time. The story follows a meth narc that has had a nestalgic past with drug lords. ( Will not ruin that intensity) The use of the word tweekers ( code for a drug user) is over seen by the actual drug users.
The director D.J. Caruso and the actors of this potrayal did their research on the parts they play. Pooh Bear , he is not the most eragent character , but he does perfect the part of a hillybilly drug lord.
The only flaw to this film is the part where Val's character( Danny/Tom) is crying for his wife , in the police station. I can' remember a time where I have seen Val Kilmer cry , so that makes this scene importent, but he does it in such a way that it almost gets on your nerves.
Please if you haven't seen this movie and are into twisted drug stories, shoot um' ups, or like Val Kilmer ( which probably is his best preformance since THE SAINT ) go rent this epic flick...
