Review of The Salton Sea (2002) by Rod E — 14 Apr 2013
This movie completely slipped under my radar and was recommended to me by a good friend of mine. This movie deals with the world of "tweakers" (Crystal Meth users) but all is not quite what is seems.
It is difficult to talk about this film without giving away too much, but this is a clever film with some great dialogue and definitely my favorite role of Val Kilmer that I can remember. And Vincent D'Onofrio in the role of Pooh Bear has to be seen to be believed.
While it is an old story, it is weaved in such an original way that I found it thoroughly enjoyable. This movie received far less attention that it deserved, and although not for everyone I can still recommend people to judge this film for themselves.
