Review of The Running Man (1987) by Cassandra M — 24 Jul 2009
This is the first time I have seen this whole movie, I have seen bits and pieces before. All I could think of is Arnold is now Governor and Jesse was Governor. It kind of had the feel of a real goofy Escape From New York.
I have to say it gets a recommendation though as it was so original for its time. I can't believe this was directed by Paul Michael Glaser of Starsky and Hutch fame.
Richard Dawson had a perfect role for him. I laughed right out loud with the casting of Dweezil Zappa and Mick Fleetwood.
It is only a matter of time until we see this type of reality show...
